Sumerian mythology translated into the Mandean/Gnostic religion. In mandean recordings, Ptahil (Enki) is the lowest ranked, and ruler/creator of our world, Abathur (Enlil), second ranked, sits in judgment of humanity's fate, and Yushamin (Anu?), the most senior being, was punished by the 'king of light' for wanting to create his own world (Niburu?).
I read a project camelot interview that talked about humans as being 'sovereign integrals' who were trapped in human bodies. Mandeans/Gnostics hold this belief as well, saying that we have a spiritual 'first source' and that the christian god and creation story is inferior, that earth and the material world are inferior and were made by an 'inferior deity'. The goal of gnostics is to unweave the bonds of materialism and ascend to our true home of light.
Interestingly enough I stumbled upon this gnostic theme while reading about "weaver" mythology. Apparently weaving has been a mythological theme throughout ancient history, and gnosticism is an outbranching with a relationship to weaving.
An example of a weaver philosophy: Tantra, which literally means 'weave'.
I believe I can now modify my reading of the bohemian motto 'weaving spiders come not here', Tantra and other ancient mythological weaving philosophies were women focused, so the women factor remains accurate, i think we can expand the bohemian motto to in general be anti-gnostic. "gnostics come not here".
Also, if gnostics are the epitome of anti-materialism, then it's relevant that the Bohemian Grove is pretty much an orgy and celebration of materialism and carnal delights. Their religion is indulgence and self-satisfaction, whereas gnosticism is about seeing those aspects for what they are reaching that higher level.
Interesting quip: "view evil as lacking spiritual insight and goodness, rather than to emphasize portrayals of evil as an equal force", they take pains to say that evil is 'off the path of good', but not an equal rival of good. They don't give evil the respect of calling it an equal rival, and thus some sort of evenly matched struggle between good and evil. Rather, they see us as beings that simply got a bit off the path of spirituality, and can go back there.

"Weaving spiders come not here" = Uttu
Uttu in
Sumerian mythology is the goddess of weaving and clothing. Uttu in Sumerian means "the woven" and she was illustrated as a spider in a web.
Sumer consisted of what is now Kuwait, and South Eastern Iraq, ironically the two targets of the Persian Gulf War, and the 2003 Iraq Invasion.
A Gulf War veteran has alleged that in the first gulf war, a small nuclear bomb was detonated near Basrah, which conveniently enough is within the region that was once called Sumer.
Quick note, as with many things, it was interesting to note that Arthurian legend corresponds with the Sumerian mythology. Arthur = Atrahasis (king of men), and so forth. Lady of the water is related to Enki's domain. One Arthurian movie that is loaded with esoteric nutrients is "Excalibur". Nice cinematography too.
